An affiliate of the Finnish real estate investment manager Sirius Capital Partners (“Sirius”) has acquired a portfolio of nine daily consumer goods retail properties for approx. EUR 60 million from a group of private investors. The combined lettable area of the portfolio is approx. 50,000 sqm and the assets are anchored by Tokmanni and Kesko. With this acquisition, Sirius has during 2015 and 2016 acquired more than 100 necessity-driven retail assets with a total lettable area of almost 400,000 sqm.
“These assets complement our existing portfolio of grocery stores and necessity-driven retail very well and further strengthens the cooperation with both Kesko and Tokmanni. The acquired assets are modern retail properties in strong locations and have long lease agreements with the main tenants”, says Jonas Ahlblad, partner and CIO at Sirius Capital Partners.
”We continuously look for more grocery store and necessity-driven retail assets and will do several more acquisition still this year”, Jonas Ahlblad continues.
Realone was the seller’s commercial advisor in the transaction and Surakka Attorneys Ltd their legal advisor. Krogerus Attorneys Ltd acted as the buyer’s legal advisor.
